Lawn aeration & fertilizing

We assess the lawn, aerate it in spring once the ground has firmed up, collect the thatch, and fertilize so the grass can grow back denser.

Lawn aeration and fertilizing

Aeration should be done right after the snow melts and the ground firms up. The best time is usually late March to early May, depending on weather. Our experienced team aerates over 100,000 m² of lawn every spring using professional equipment.

We offer a full service — aeration plus cleanup of all debris, with optional disposal at a waste facility.

Fertilizing is best done right after aeration, when the lawn is cleared of thatch and fertilizer can quickly reach the soil. Fertilizing promotes faster growth, a denser lawn, and greater resistance to foot traffic.

Lawns should be fertilized at least once a year in spring, with an optional second application in late summer for the best results. We only use quality fertilizers proven through years of experience.

How the work is done

The exact scope depends on the property, but the usual order of work is as follows.

  1. 1

We assess the lawn condition, including thatch, soil compaction, and whether the ground has firmed up enough for the work.

  2. 2

We choose the right timing, usually in spring after the snow has melted and before active growth begins.

  3. 3

We aerate the lawn with professional equipment so air, water, and nutrients can reach the roots more easily.

  4. 4

We collect the removed thatch and dispose of it at a waste facility if requested.

  5. 5

We fertilize the lawn and give guidance on watering, the first mow, and any later fertilizing.
